An organization is your team’s tenant in LivingContext. It owns your connections, spaces, docs, and settings, and it lives on its own subdomain.

Your organization’s subdomain

Every organization gets a dedicated subdomain:
The slug is generated from your organization name when you create it, with live availability checking and reserved names blocked. All of your team’s work happens on this subdomain, and each organization’s data is isolated from every other organization — see Security.

Creating and joining organizations

  • Each user can create one organization. The creator receives the Administrator role.
  • You can belong to multiple organizations, but you join additional ones by invitation only.

Switching between organizations

If you belong to more than one organization, switch from the user menu — click your avatar and look under Workspaces:
  • Every organization you belong to is listed, with a check mark on the one you’re in.
  • Pick another workspace and LivingContext takes you to that organization’s subdomain, landing on Home.

Managing members

Open the Organization page to manage your team. For each member you can see their name, email, and role. Roles determine what each member can do across docs, change requests, and agents. See Roles and permissions for the full breakdown.

Invitations

Invite teammates by email from the Organization page. Each invitation carries a role, which you can set at invite time.
  • New members get the Editor role by default.
  • Invitations expire after 48 hours. You can resend an expired or lost invitation, or cancel one that’s still pending, from the pending invitations list.
  • An organization can have up to 100 members.

What the invitee sees

The invitation email — subject “You’ve been invited to <your organization>” — contains an Accept invitation button that opens a dedicated invitation page:
1

Sign in or sign up

If the invitee isn’t signed in yet, they’re taken to the sign-in page first — new users can create their account right there — and return to the invitation automatically.
2

Review the invitation

The page shows who invited them, the organization name, and the role they’ll receive.
3

Accept or decline

Accept and join makes the organization their active workspace and lands them on Home. Decline records the decision — if it was a mistake, the Administrator simply sends a new invitation.
Invitations are bound to the email address they were sent to. If the invitee is signed in with a different account, the page says so and asks them to sign in with the invited address — the invitation can’t be hijacked by another account.
Invite reviewers and stakeholders with the Reviewer or Commenter role. They can participate in reviews and chat with agents without being able to author docs.

Leaving an organization

Any member can leave an organization on their own — no Administrator needed:
  1. Open the Organization page and find your own row in the members table.
  2. Click Leave and confirm. You lose access to the organization’s docs and connections immediately.
  3. You land in your next workspace — or on the workspace chooser if this was your only one.
The organization’s only owner can’t leave — transfer ownership or promote another Administrator first, so the organization is never left without an admin.

Sessions

Sign-in sessions last 7 days. After that, members sign in again with any of the supported methods — email and password, Google, GitHub, or enterprise SSO. Members can add two-factor authentication from Settings → Security.

Removing a member

When a member is removed from the organization (or leaves), their access ends immediately:
  • They can no longer sign in to the organization’s subdomain.
  • Any API keys or extension keys they created stop working the moment they leave.
Before removing a member who set up shared automation — for example, an MCP key used by the team — recreate those keys under another member first, or the automation breaks.

Roles and permissions

Spaces and repos

Scope your workspace by grouping repos and Salesforce connections.

Billing

Plans, seats, and credits — managed by Administrators.
