Using it
1
Open the Agent tab
The side panel opens on the Agent tab — the assistant. Example prompts get you going: “How do I issue a refund?”, “Walk me through setting up billing”, “What can an admin do?”
2
Ask a question
Ask in plain language — “How do I create a discount approval?”, “What’s our lead routing process?”
3
Follow the citations
Answers cite their sources — a Sources list deep-links to the exact pages in your docs viewer. When the best answer is a published guide, the assistant offers a Start guide button to replay it right on the page with Guide Me.
Grounded by design
Ask docs only draws on documentation published in your organization’s workspace:- Your docs are the source of truth. Answers come from your published pages — including the guides your team publishes from captures.
- Citations, always. Each answer links to the pages it was built from, so you can verify and read further.
- No guessing. If your documentation doesn’t cover the question, Ask docs says so instead of inventing an answer.
An “I don’t know” from Ask docs is a signal, not a failure — it means there’s a documentation gap. If it’s a workflow, capture it and publish the guide; the next person to ask will get a real answer.
Where it shines
- Mid-task lookups — check a policy or a field’s meaning without switching tabs away from the record you’re editing.
- Onboarding — new teammates can ask instead of interrupting, and every answer points them at the underlying doc.
- Salesforce workflows — when the answer is a published guide, you can jump from the citation to the doc, or replay it in place with Guide Me.
